Hands up who finds underwear shopping a bit of a chore? Well you’re not alone. Here at Janes we understand it can be a stressful process to find the right fit and shape of underwear for your body, particularly if you’re a D cup or above! So when lingerie company Panache asked us to review some of their range – we jumped at the chance. Our writer Stacey Wright puts three of their underwear sets to the test…
The great thing about Panache is they design lingerie suited to women with D+ cups, so right away this is music to my ears. The brand are all about crafting the perfect fit and are dedicated to making beautiful designs for women to look and feel great in – and isn’t that ultimately what we all want?
I’ve always struggled getting the right fit with bras – I can’t just pop into any old shop and pick up a bra in my size and know it will fit. With bigger breasts comes bigger cups and that means finding decent underwear that is comfortable and supports me during the day and into the evening.
The three sets of underwear from their range we reviewed were – Envy, Floris and Evie – each slightly different from each other. Here’s how I got on…
First up is Envy – a sexy black set that mixes a dogtooth effect fabric with lace for a modern, feminine look. The underwired balconette style bra (£32) provides a supportive and uplifted shape which goes up to a K cup. I have to say it’s super comfy – the bra has fully adjustable shoulder straps and the briefs (£15) move with you so there’s no awkward ‘wedgie’ moments or readjustment needed – so perfect to wear from day to eve. This style also comes in nude colour.
Day two saw me slipping into the very pretty Floris set. Floris is also an underwired balconette bra (£30) and comes in a feminine purple floral print with a geometric embroidered top cup. The rich colours work beautifully together and once again the bra goes up to a generous K cup. The deep briefs (£15) are also the perfect fit. I love this set – it’s so bright and fun and would make a great addition to any wardrobe! The fully adjustable shoulder straps also come with a soft plush padding so they sit comfortably on your shoulders and don’t dig in!
The final set, Evie, is definitely more saucy and screams ‘wear me on date night’ as the foam filled strapless bra is more structured and designed to work with your evening outfit, making you feel secure and confident. The underwired bra (£27) comes with detachable fabric multi-way shoulder straps so you can wear any way you like depending on your outfit of choice. The foam filled cups also ensure a smooth line underneath your clothing. Evie is the best-selling strapless bra by Panache Superbra, and you can see why – it offers the perfect strapless solution and is available in a D-H cup. The briefs (£12) and thong (£10) are also super cute with a peep-hole bow design on the back to complete the look. This timeless style comes in three classic colours – black, ivory and nude.
So my verdict? There’s no point beating around the bush here (no pun intended!) I really feel like I’ve found a little piece of lingerie heaven with Panache as the brand has hit my three main criteria areas – comfort, style and practicality. The Floris and Envy ranges are clear winners for my shape and offer amazing comfort. I’ve never really been that fussed with matching my underwear before – so I don’t really own many sets of underwear – something my friends think is crazy! But I have to admit, I did feel great knowing I was wearing matching underwear.
It’s true what they say, it makes you feel sexier and more confident, just as good underwear should.
And remember, it doesn’t have to be about finding underwear to ‘show off’ to the men in our lives – sometimes it’s nice to have something for ourselves that makes us feel good. Plus if you find the right fit for your body it can make all the difference to your outfit. And do you want to hear the real Brucie bonus? I didn’t even have to cut the fabric labels out as you barely feel them. I’m a converted Panache fan…for life!
