We love a great beauty product! Whether it’s to shine our hair, blush our cheeks or buff our skin! So here’s a little round-up of our current favourite beauty products here at Average Janes HQ!

Hair

Our new favourite in shower treatment is the Tresemme Deep Conditioning Treatment (£5.69), use a couple of times a week by applying a pea-sized amount to coat the ends of your hair and the remainder on the rest of your head, leave for a few minutes (the longer the better) and then rinse out, we guarantee you will feel the difference after one treatment. Soft, manageable and silky hair in a flash, you are welcome!
Post shower we have been loving this Heat Defence Spray from Mark Hill (£5.49) which helps to protect the hair from our constant drying and straightening routine, it has a beautiful fragrance and you can pick these up in really handy travel-sized bottles as well, perfect for holiday!

Face

We have really been loving cleansing balms at the moment to wash away make-up and prepare for a further cleanser or treatment mask, and we currently love the No7 Cleansing balm (£9). A really gentle balm for dry skin that helps to remove every last bit of dirt from the face and leave clean and refreshed skin underneath. The next product may not come as much of a surprise but the Caudalie Beauty Elixir (£10.35) has swiftly made it to the top of our re-purchase list since we first got our hands on it. Establishing something a of a cult following, it aims to brighten skin by reducing redness and smoothing your complexion, this has become particularly useful during heat wave temperatures, a gentle spritz whilst out and about can really help to maintain a glowing complexion. We would suggest applying this with a regular cotton pad as this limits wastage and you can get a more controlled distribution of the product.

Make-up

This summer has been all about the cream blushes, and this Max Factor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in soft pink is the perfect summer shade. You can apply this with your fingers or a brush, but we prefer to pat this in with our fingers and then use a blusher blush to smooth and even it out. If you’re not sure if cream blushes are for you, this one is definitely a good one to start with, at only £6.99, it’s worth giving it a go. During the summer months, dry and cracked lips are a serious problem, but don’t worry the amazing Balance Me Lip Salves (£12 each) are a life saver. We love the sheer raspberry edition for daytime and the rose otto intensive lip salve to put on before bed, be prepared to wake up to seriously smooth and kissable lips.

Body

We have treated ourselves to some seriously lush in-shower products lately. Firstly, we adore the Soap & Glory Sugar Crush Body Wash (500ml, £6.50) it is really refreshing and smells like a Mojito in a bottle, resulting in serious summer vibes all round. Lastly, we have just started using the Nivea In-Shower Body Moisturiser (250ml, £3.56) which acts like a moisturiser but you put it on in the shower, wait a few minutes and then wash off, leaving smooth and soft skin. Although not a huge fan of the scent, it says Almond Oil but it doesn’t smell like that on the skin, however this is a great idea for lazy ladies who would normally try and skip moisturising!

So there you have it! Our absolute favourite beauty products of the moment! Which ones will you try?
