Keeping watch: October accessory edit

The clock change is coming up this weekend, taking us back an hour – and while we’re looking forward to the luxury of that extra hour in bed on Sunday morning (not that we needed an excuse…), it’s also the inevitable start of shorter days and darker evenings.

So for this month’s accessory edit we’re bringing you our pick of shiny, sparkly and smart watches. Perfect for brightening up the darkening evenings just before that clock change!

Here are the watches that are making us tick this month. And don’t forget to turn yours back an hour on Saturday evening, ready for Sunday morning.

House of Florrie, Eleanor Gold Tan, £105

We love this just-released range from British brand House of Florrie. Our current fave is the classy tan and gold combo of the Eleanor design, although we’ve also got our eye on the olive-coloured peacock feather print.

Olivia Burton, Enchanted Garden Leather Strap, £80

Olivia Burton watches are well-known for their pretty printed faces – we love this muted grey design.

New Look, Brown D Link Strap, £12.99

It’s all in the detail with this New Look beauty – from the bridle-style dark tan strap and gold links, to the stylish chronographs.

Michael Kors, Dylan Chronograph, £279

If you’re feeling a bit flush (rose gold – flush…geddit?!) then this sophisticated rose gold Michael Kors watch has got your number.

Asos, Reclaimed Vintage Steel, £20

We love the steel mesh on this Asos number – you can just picture it paired with jeans and a crisp white shirt.

Stella & Dot, Icon Convertible, £130

The perfect smart work staple, this Stella & Dot watch will go with any outfit and look equally fitting in the boardroom or at the bar.

That’s our top picks – don’t forget to turn your clock back 1 hour this Sunday! What’s making you tick? Share with us @tweetjanes
