Jolie is Maleficent

Those who tuned into this years Grammy Awards were in for a treat as Disney debuted a brand new 90 second trailer for new Disney epic, Maleficent.The untold story of one of Disneys most iconic villains from the classic Sleeping Beauty, depicted by Angelina Jolie.

The trailer features an incredibly haunting cover of the original ‘Once Upon A Dream’ by Lana Del Ray, an eerie tune which we actually wouldn’t be out of place in a horror movie! A tune which we feel will become rather iconic in time. This, coupled with some of the new action-packed footage is quite breathtaking and we can’t wait to see how it unfolds on the big screen.
From what we’ve seen Jolie is mesmerising, her un-nerving beauty and powerful presence is what fairytales are made of.

Alongside the story of Jolie’s Maleficent we see hints of Elle Fanning’s Princess Aurora and the war that’s waged across the kingdom. It seems as though it may be dark fantasy action at it’s best, with a shower of spine-tingling Disney magic.
