There are so many mascaras on the market to choose from, but here at Janes we suspect you are just like us…we find one we like and we only buy that one for years. But why limit yourself to one, when you can have a mascara for every occasion. Here, we talk you through our faves!
A few of our current favourite flicks.
Feel Unique, £19
Not the cheapest mascara around, but this is the best one we have tried in a long time. This will give you a nice amount of coverage for daytime wear and is great for layering if you want a more dramatic look in the evening. With this mascara there is zero panda eye at the end of the day and the best thing is, it comes off so easily with just face wash or a wipe.
Boots, £6.99
If you’re looking for out-of-this-world volume, then the Rimmel ScandalEyes range is for you. It won’t leave you with panda eyes either, but be careful not to layer on too much as it can become clumpy. It comes out quite thick, so one coat is more than enough. The curvy brush helps to evenly spread the mascara over your lashes, creating length and more volume you can shake a stick at. Plus, it is in the lower price bracket (#winning).
Mac Cosmetics, £19
Described as ‘fashionably false’, this mascara is for girls who love the dramatic look. This isn’t clumpy or heavy-feeling either, just super black and it actually lifts your lashes making them look longer. Ditch the falsies (and the hassle that goes with them) and grab this!
Boots, £8.99
Ok ladies…. Size does matter, especially when it comes to mascara brushes. Everyone has their own preference on size and this one is perfect for those of you who love a big, chunky brush. The “push up” effect of this brush is great if you can’t be bothered to curl your lashes, just brush it on and you are good to go.
Benefit, £19.50
We love Benefit products, mainly because they are a bit quirky and last for ages. This mascara comes in three colours, so if you are channeling your inner ‘90s chick, you can choose the blue one, or if you’re feeling a bit more classic you can choose from brown or black. A little tip they give you is to use the domed tip of the brush to fan out lashes in the corners of your eyes.
So, you can’t go wrong with one of these fab mascaras.
