10 New Season Fashion Faves

The high street is becoming ripe and lush with new A/W season clothes. As much as we hate to be packing away our sandals and summer dresses, we have to admit to a small frisson of new-wardrobe-staple anticipation as the mornings turn a teensy bit chillier.

We’re easing ourselves into the autumnal weather with these 10 favourite pieces from the high street.

The skirt, t-shirt, and jewels

Narrow pleats, midi length – this PU Topshop skirt is such a chic way to style this season’s A-line trend. Wear it with this pretty bird design t-shirt from Oasis’ new ‘Flutter’ collection – or pair with a white top and statement necklace in an on-trend geometric design, like this one from Warehouse.

PU Skirt Topshop £55
T-shirt Oasis £28
Necklace Warehouse £14

The jeans, jumper, and ballet flats

Fab biker detailing on these Zara jeans adds a bit of interest to the same-old jeans and jumper combo. Team it with this fitted knit from French Connection – we love it in pale Pink Opal, or opt for Light Grey Mel to hit another of A/W’s key trends.  Finish your look with these sleek patent navy flats from Office.

Jeans Zara £39.99
Jumper French Connection £60
Ballerina flats Office £58

The leggings, scarf, and bag

The hint of jodhpur-poshness drew us to these Topshop leggings – contrast them against the deep, luscious Oxblood patent of this Dorothy Perkins satchel, or wear with a white top and this over-sized Asos scarf (tartan scarves are in this autumn!).

Leggings Topshop £28
Satchel Dorothy Perkins £18
Scarf Asos £18

And over it all…the coat

Lightweight enough to wear in autumn, but warmer than your summer trench or leather jacket – the monochrome, tailored lines of this New Look coat are perfect for completing your autumn look.

Coat New Look £54.99

So there you have it – the 10 items that have caught our eye as the weather changes!
