Christmas is over and the January blues are setting in, but we have the perfect antidote – go and see a West End show! Musicals are currently particularly “in” with La La Land making a big hit at the cinemas and the Baftas (and tipped for a big Oscar clear-up). But nothing beats seeing live performances (even if they don’t include Ryan Gosling…).

Based on the hit film, Mamma Mia the musical has been around since 1999 and is still one of the most popular in the West End today. It has the energy of a thousand suns and the Abba music will have you out of your chair and dancing before you know it.

Based on Mark Haddon’s award winning novel, this is a relatively new show to the West End and has been drawing big audiences since 2013.

Winner of 57 major awards worldwide, including the Olivier Award for Best New Musical, this is a show full of vitality about four undiscovered musicians from New Jersey with a sound no one had heard before.

This show was an instant hit when it came to the West End in 2013 and is still popular now. Written by the creators of South Park, this tale of two young Mormon missionaries has won nine Tony Awards, a Grammy and four Olivier Awards and is certainly worth seeing.

Based on the 2006 film, this is one of London’s newest musicals which finally came to the West End in November 2016, after thirty five years of being on Broadway. Transport yourself to 1962 Chicago and follow the journey of three young African-American singers making their way in show business.
