For something a little different, check out Sergei Polunin’s choreographed ballet dance to Hozier’s Take Me To Church.
The Ukrainian ballet dancer released this beautiful video, now a viral sensation, of his choreographed ballet dance to Hozier’s hit song.
In the video, Polunin performs his dance in giant room in what looks like the middle of a forest, with sun cascading in through the windows. Whilst we are no ballet experts, his dancing seems flawless and very fitting to the song.
Polunin began dancing at the age of 4, he is currently a principal dancer with The Stanislavsky Music Theatre (Moscow) and he was formerly a principle dancer with the British Royal Ballet.
Take Me To Church received widespread global popularity in 2014, it peaked at number 2 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the US and was nominated for a Grammy Award for Song of the Year.
We think Hozier now needs to remake his music video for Take Me To Church to include both him and Polunin, or include Polunin in one of his music videos in the future…it would be amazing!
Whilst we wait for more ballet videos of this rising star, check out some pictures of Polunin we have found, ballet dancers sure do have great bodies…
