Opening its doors for the ninth year, the ice rink at the Natural History Museum will be open until Sunday 5th January and has sessions available for all.
Set within the museums iconic grounds, the ice rink has become an umissable part of London’s festive celebrations, attracting all levels of skiers from beginners to advanced. The 1000 square metre rink creates a magical, festive atmosphere and can be enjoyed by anyone looking to enjoy the magical atmosphere, With a traditional fairground carousel and junior rink for younger skaters, there is something to suit all the family.
This year, the café bar overlooking the Ice Rink has been transformed into a cosy lodge, allowing guests to snuggle on sofas and relax under twinkling lights. Food, warming drinks and creative cocktails will be served, so families can feast on delicious treats, colleagues can mingle over mulled wine and music, and couples can cosy up with a hot chocolate on the open-air balcony.
On weekdays in November, the Ice Rink will hold special sessions for parents and toddlers, and for students who present their NUS card at the box office. Parents with pre-school children and students can enjoy special rate skating sessions and complimentary drinks in the cafe.
