Celebrities Without Makeup

Some of you may have already seen this, there are a few Tumblrs and other bits floating around the web, but we thought it was talking about and bringing back to the forefront as we were quite inspired!

We live in a world in which celebrity culture is part of our everyday lives and we like nothing more than to bathe in the glamour that oozes from the Cannes Film Festival and many a red carpet. On the flip side however, we also love to be reminded that the statuesque, beautifully coiffed and preened bodies we see there have actually taken a good few hours/days to create.

They actually look just like us in the morning. Nearly.

So when Juergen Teller photographed a host of A-list pickings, including the likes of Emma Stone, Kristen Stewart and Amy Adams, wearing little or no make-up for W Magazine’s movie issue… we wanted to see it.

What came up was a seriously cool, contemporary and emotive shoot in which we were drawn into the personality of every picture.
