Welcome to our new monthly roundup of our favourite seasonal beauty products, kicking off with our October autumn beauty edit.
This month, we’re all about preparing for the colder autumn weather with products to battle dry skin and chapped lips.
First up, with the changing weather and reliance on central heating, products that can help with dry and lifeless skin are on the top of our beauty shopping list. The Oskia Renaissance Mask is a saviour product to bring moisture and radiance back to the skin. It contains Lactic Acid which reduces blemishes and stimulates cell regeneration. The luxurious balm also helps to increase cell turnover, boost radiance and gradually reduce the appearance of fine lines and imperfections. It is a great mask for all skin types and leaves the skin feeling super clean and radiant. As the perfect accompaniment to this mask, finish your evening routine by applying a few drops of the Vitamin E Overnight Serum-In-Oil by The Body Shop to clean skin if you want to wake up to seriously hydrated and plumped up skin (who doesn’t?).
Secondly, we wanted to recommend a great pair of fake eyelashes. Top beauty and fashion blogger Fleur de Force has collaborated with eyelash experts Eylure to create a range of diverse and easy to use lashes. There are four eyelashes in the range including individual lashes. We love the Simply Fleur which are the most natural-looking pairs in the range, perfect for everyday or to add a flawless finish to an evening look. They are really easy to use and feel lightweight on the eyes.
If you are looking for a great natural nail colour this month, why not try the Rimmel 60 Seconds Nail Varnish in Caramel Cupcake? The formula of the Rimmel 60 Second polishes are hard to beat as they dry super quickly and apply opaque after just one coat. They have a great thick applicator which can cover the whole nail in one sweep. We love this colour for its subtle sophistication.
Lastly, the Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet collection are an updated version of the original Bourjois Rouge Editions, which claim to have an even softer finish. They are a brilliant drugstore product with great formulation and staying power. If you like matte lips but are worried about using matte products in the colder months, when lips can get chapped more easily, give these a go. They glide onto the lips with ease and if you leave them to dry for a couple of seconds you are left with a matte finish that won’t budge all day. They come in a range of great colours – we love So Hap’pink for a bold pop of colour.
