Natural ‘Superfood’ Skincare: Cado Naturals

Ethical and natural skincare seems to be rising in prominence within the beauty world, typical skincare products with multiple ingredients that no one can pronounce are being shunned for more organic and natural alternatives. We’ve all read about the health benefits of superfoods such as coconut oil and avocados, proving once again that simplicity is key. So we’re bringing it back to basics today with a review of an amazing new super skincare product that we cant get enough of.

Cado Naturals are a new skincare company who were fed up with the number of popular products on the market claiming to be ‘natural’ but scanning the ingredients leads to the conclusion that they were anything but. So they decided to launch their own range of 100% natural body butter products.

The body butters contain only seven ingredients as well as being palm oil free, vegan friendly and absolutely never tested on animals. We tried out the grapefruit fragrance and the smell is good enough to eat. We mostly used it as a skin moisturiser all over the body which left the skin feeling really smooth and nourished. The oil absorbs into the skin quickly and so there was no wet or tacky feeling on the skin. The product is safe to use on any part of the body and can help to heal a range of skin problems, such as sun damage, eczema and psoriasis. It also has anti-ageing properties and regular use can reduce the appearance of scars and wrinkles. Their secret weapon? Avocado oil.

The avocado oil penetrates the skin on a much deeper level to most moisturisers or other natural skin oils. That means the results are soft and hydrated skin that lasts all day.

They currently have three fragrances in the range – Grapefruit, Mandarin and Lime which each have their own health benefits. The current range are available online and they cost £7 for a 120ml bottle, proving that organic and natural skincare doesn’t not have to cost a bomb.

I am 24 years old and currently working in an administrative role in Norwich. I studied Speech and Language Therapy at UEA and since graduating in 2010 I have been working in London, I moved back to Norwich in September for love (of the fine city, and my boyfriend!). I have no idea what my future holds, but I am looking into doing a PGCE next year to teach English at secondary school level. I enjoy drinking and socialising on the weekend and going to gigs and club nights. I love reading blogs and have them to blame for my ever growing make-up drawers and wardrobe.
