Let’s be honest, on cold, dark winter mornings, make up is often the thing that helps us feel pulled-together and ready to face the day ahead. Somehow though, this in-between season doesn’t inspire a big splurge – so while we’re waiting for new Spring trends, we thought we’d bring you seven of our favourite cheap beauty treats. Little beauties to give you a cheerful treat without too big a dent on your wallet!
Our pick of seven fabulous products. Get yourself a cheap beauty treat for under a tenner – bargain!
Boots, £6.99
Give your lashes a generous coating of this great mascara. Adds layers without thick clumping and the waterproof version is perfect for popping into your make up bag for holidays.
Boots, £2.99
We love these bright, cheerful nail polishes – they’re super-cheap so ideal for a pick-me-up when your wallet’s feeling a bit stretched. They really do dry in a minute – perfect for a quick coating of colour on a work evening ready for the next day. Our current favourites are the chic grey/nude When I Grow Up and the vampy red Queen of Tarts.
Superdrug, £4.19
Great coverage for under a fiver, an ideal cheap beauty treat for keeping in your handbag for touch-ups. Only downside is that it comes in a fairly limited range of four shades.
Superdug, £3.99
These little beauties blend smoothly for a perky pop of bright colour. At under a fiver, pick a colour you love and stash in your make up bag for easy application during the day.
Boots, £7.99
Can’t splash out on Naked or Urban Decay palettes? Then give Seventeen a go for a cheap beauty cheat. We like the Birthday Suit palette for a great range of neutrals perfect for everyday wear, or layering into a smokey eye. And all for under a tenner, bargain!
Tesco, £1.70
An absolute favourite for de-stressing after a tough day, the eucalyptus and rosemary are so soothing. Run a super-hot bath, generously glug in this gorgeous, savoury scent and sink into the relaxing bubbles.
Superdrug, £7.99
Creamy, moisturising lipsticks at a bargain price. These are great for experimenting with different colours or trying a new seasonal shade. We love Candy Apple if you’re dipping into trying a red lip, or Peach Parfait for a soft pink shimmer.
That’s seven of our favourite cheap beauty treats for under 10 quid – bargain!
