With Kim Kardashian recently revealing her new blonde hairdo at Paris Fashion Week, hair dying seems to be all the rage at the moment in the celebrity world.

So here at Janes, we have decided to take a trip down memory lane and look at 8 of the best colour swaps. From Rihanna rocking the red, to Leighton Meester’s shock natural hair colour, check out some of our favourite hair colour changes…

ZOOEY DESCHANEL
Natural hair: Dirty Blonde
Dyed hair: Deep Brunette
It seems strange to think of Zooey Deschanel without her trademark deep brunette hair, but naturally she’s dirty blonde. If you think back to the 2003 film Elf, then you will remember her lighter locks.

SOFIA VERGARA
Natural hair: Dirty Blonde
Dyed Hair: Caramel Brown
For her role in Modern Family, Vergara dyed her hair a rich caramel brown, which complimented her gorgeous tan and dark brown eyes. Check her out in the trailer for her latest film Hot Pursuit, where she plays a mob member’s wife.

RACHAEL McADAMS
Natural hair: Mousey Brown
Dyed Hair: Blonde and Ginger Red
Rachael McAdams could pretty much dye her hair any colour and we would like it. So far she has rocked blonde, ginger red, dark brunette but also suits her natural mousey brown colour.

EMMA STONE
Natural hair: Mousey Blonde
Dyed hair: Red Ginger, Brunette and Blonde
This is not the first time we have discussed Emma Stone’s hair, we talked about our hair envy for her before! She has been through many hair colours over the years, including dark brown and deep red, but our favourite was her change to bright blonde for her role as Gwen Stacy in The Amazing Spider-Man.

RIHANNA

Dyed Hair: Red
Over the years Rihanna has gone through a lot of hair colour changes, our personal favourite was her 2011 cherry red era. It’s one thing to dye your hair a pretty drastic shade of red, but pictured at the 2011 Grammy Awards with red hair, Rihanna is the epitome of elegance.

SCARLETT JOHANSSON
Natural hair: Brown
Dyed Hair: Blonde and Red
These days we are used to seeing ScarJo with blonde hair, or red hair for her role as Black Widow in The Avengers. However, she is naturally a brunette. Much like Rachael McAdams, she could pretty much pull off any hair colour.

LEIGHTON MEESTER
Natural hair: Blonde
Dyed Hair: Glossy Brown
What a shock! Leighton Meester’s natural hair colour is blonde! Her hair was dyed for her breakout role as Blair Waldorf in Gossip Girl, and since then she hasn’t returned to her natural colour, minus a bit of balayage.

KIM KARDASHIAN
Natural hair: Dark brown
Dyed Hair: Peroxide Blonde
Last but not least, we can’t not mention Kim K. Initially we weren’t fans of the sudden hair colour change, but now we love it. We think the contrast of her dark eyebrows with the peroxide blonde works really well.
