Date Night Cocktails for Valentines Day

date-night-valentines-cocktails

We’ll be honest, we don’t need much excuse to persuade us to embrace cocktail hour – but date night is as good a reason as any! If you’re still in the first dates stage of your relationship, mixing up cocktails together instantly gives you something to chat about – and if you’re in the long-term relationship stages then it can be a fun way to mix up a regular weekend dinner.

To get you started, here are three of our favourite, easy cocktail recipes for a fun date night treat. We’ve kept them simple – but if you fancy showing off your best shaking skills, then we say go for it!

ŻUBRÓWKA BISON GRASS VODKA APPLETINI

We do love a martini – and this fresh apple one, made with premium Żubrówka Bison Grass vodka, will add a touch of class to any date night!
Ingredients

  • 40ml Żubrówka Bison Grass Vodka
  • 5-10ml elderflower cordial
  • 10ml fresh apple juice

Method
Add the Żubrówka Bison Grass Vodka and apple juice to a cocktail shaker and give it a shake. Depending on your taste, add 5-10ml of elderflower cordial and give a final gentle shake. Pour into a cold martini glass and sip in style!
Żubrówka Bison Grass Vodka is available from Tesco, Waitrose and Sainsbury’s – RRP £20.

KIR ROYALE

Not strictly a cocktail, as it only has two ingredients – but this combination of champagne and blackcurrant liquer is too good to miss!

Ingredients

  • Crème de Cassis
  • Champagne

Method
Pour a small amount of Crème de Cassis into the bottom of a champagne glass (not too much, unless you have a sweet tooth). Top up your glass with champagne. You’re done!

GIN SMASH

If you’re already longing for summer, mix up this delicious raspberry concoction. We love its perky pink colour, perfect if you’re going for a full-on date night theme!
Ingredients

  • Your favourite gin
  • Tonic water
  • Handful of fresh raspberries
  • A lime
  • Mint sprigs

Method
Crush a few raspberries in the bottom of a short glass. Add some crushed ice and pour over a measure of gin. Top up with tonic water. Add a squeeze of lime and garnish with your mint sprigs. Enjoy!
