Prince Harry and Meghan Markle tie the knot this Saturday (19th May). And if you want to get out of the house to watch it, there are plenty of screenings and parties going on across the capital. The more ardent royalists will flock to Windsor Castle hoping to catch a glimpse of the newlyweds, but if you can’t be doing with the crowds and want full view, here are some of the best places in London to watch the Royal Wedding!

The Royal Wedding Party at One Marylebone

Location: 1 Marylebone Road, NW1 4AQ.
Nearest Tube: Great Portland Street

If the invite got lost in the post, the next best thing will be the mini wedding going on at One Marylebone. The Grade I listed church venue will be streaming the ceremony live, where you’ll be treated to a ‘Have I Got News For You’-style commentary. There’ll be activities and traditional British games going on throughout the day session, and if you fancy just heading to the evening, there’ll be an American spread in honour of Meghan and live performances from the likes of Elton John and Ed Sheeran tribute acts… because, ginger. The day event runs from 11am-5pm and tickets cost £25, while the evening event runs from 7pm until 2am, with tickets costing £30.

Royal Wedding 21st Century Tea Dance Party! at the Southbank

Location: Royal Festival Hall, Belvedere Road, SE1 8XX.
Nearest Tube: Waterloo

The Southbank is always a great place to hang when a big national event is taking place and this Saturday is no different. The Southbank Centre promises to drag the traditional tea dance ‘kicking and screaming into the twenty-first century’ with music from Jive Five, the Meet Me Choir, a guest performance from older Heart ‘n’ Soul artists, spoken word performances from older poets, aerialist dancers performing with their mothers, sing-alongs, a catwalk, plenty of dancing and of course, a screening of Harry and Meghan’s wedding.

Royal Wedding Champagne Breakfast at The Crown and Greyhound

Location: 73 Dulwich Village, SE21 7BJ.
Nearest Station: North Dulwich

A pub showing the Royal Wedding is always going to get some love from us. And if you’re south of the river, you’re invited to a ‘right regal affair’ at Dulwich’s The Crown and Greyhound. As they say, they’re no Windsor Castle but sitting right in the heart of Dulwich Village, “we know a thing or two about charm.” To celebrate, they’ll be opening up early for a rather luxurious breakfast screening of the royal proceedings for £20.

If you just want a field and a giant screen, the National Maritime Museum’s manicured lawns are the place to be this Saturday. Alongside a screening of the ceremony, there’ll also be delicious food, snacks and drinks available to purchase.
