NELL: WHAT’S IN MY HANDBAG?
Our fab writer Nell shares a delve into her handbag…
The Bag
Banana Republic, £99.50
I love bags and have a range of different options I can choose from, but nothing can beat a plain black leather handbag. They’re versatile, can go with anything and, depending on the style, can carry you through from day to night. I love this Banana Republic one because although it’s roomy enough to fit a book in, it’s not so big that I end up filling it with too much!
Travel Tangle Teezer
Boots, £12.49
For taming your mane while you’re on the move, I haven’t found a brush that’s better than the Travel Tangle Teezer. Smaller than the regular Tangle Teezer, it fits neatly into any handbag. It also comes with a nifty little guard to protect the bristles from breaking while you’re on the go. Perfect!
Red lipsticks
No handbag of mine is complete without a few lipsticks rattling around in the bottom. A lipstick is a great way to give yourself a bit of no-fuss glamour, or help an outfit to transition from day to night. Personally if I’m having a bit of a drab day, a dab of lipstick is a quick pick-me-up and makes me feel instantly more put together. My current favourite is ‘Heat Wave’ from Nars, but check out our red lip edit for some other ideas.
7-year pen
Liberty, £6.95
I love this pen! It’s always handy to have a pen for any writing emergency that might come my way – and this one is a treat to write with. It’s a very smooth pen to use and comes in a range of lovely colours, each with a different design on the clip. It’s also a very cool concept that this pen could last 7 years, even when used everyday!
Aesop hand cream
Liberty, £20
The Aesop Resurrection Aromatique Hand Balm is one of the best hand creams I’ve ever had. It smells amazing, soaks in quickly and leaves hands feeling soft and smooth.
Boots nail polish remover pads
Boots, £1.50
I find nothing more annoying when I’m heading out than realising that my nail varnish is chipping off and looking tatty. I always have a little pot of these Boots nail polish remover pads in my bag so that I can remove my nail varnish quickly and cleanly and keep my hands looking fresh and neat.
