December is finally upon us, so it’s time to admit that Christmas is most definitely coming. Now, unless you’re one of those organised/smug people who gets all of their Christmas shopping done by October, and then spend the next two months telling everyone about it, I’m guessing you need a little inspiration.

Family Christmas gift ideas

Well look no further, Average Janes have got you covered on the perfect gift for each family member!

This Christmas I think many guys will be hoping for a shiny new PS4 or xbox 1, and if you’re looking to splurge then we applaud you! However, for something a little more purse-friendly why not try a selection of small stocking fillers, for example This Works Sleeping Partners £29 is great for guys (and girls) who have trouble nodding off at night. It contains a 75ml bottle of the best-selling Deep Sleep Pillow Spray and a Deep Sleep Night Oil which aims to relax you before bed. Admittedly, it’s not a coincidence that this gift would come in handy for us too. Make sure to check our brother site Average Joe’s for lots of male-oriented gift inspiration ranging from fashion to electricals.

What better gift can you give a girl than jewellery? Nothing, that’s what. We absolutely adore this watch from Olivia Burton available on ASOS £62. It has a really simple and sophisticated design and is perfect for everyday wear or an accompaniment to a great evening outfit.

The Aromatherapy Associates Little Bell £10 is a great stocking filler. It comes in a gorgeous ornamental box which you can display on the Christmas tree and inside contains one 75ml bottle of their Revive Morning Bath and Shower Oils. They look small but you only need a tiny amount to transform your bath into a luxurious treat. At only £10 each they are a great multi-buy purchase for a few family members, however if you only have one person in mind, why not try the larger Festive Collection box which contains 10 bottles of their different scented oils.

Arguably one of the hardest people to buy for, but if you want to avoid another year of multi-pack socks why not try a new aftershave. We are a big fan of the Viktor & Rolf Spicebomb eau de toilette which is a really grown-up scent, perfect for fathers and father in-laws. Alternatively, as beards and ‘taches seem to be making a comeback this year, with no signs of disappearing. The least you can do is make sure he is as well groomed as can be, try the Philips Vacuum Beard Trimmer £40 which has a range of different length settings and contains a vacuum to reduce mess in the bathroom sink and indicates when it needs to be emptied.

There are so many great make-up sets available this Christmas it is really hard to choose just one but Benefit have really blown us away with the range of gift sets on offer, in particular we love this Benefit Groovy Kind of Love £29.50 which is a complete set for eyes, lips, cheeks and face. The set includes the POREfessional mini, they’re real mascara mini, benetint medium, dandelion and gimme fever cheek powder duo with brush, 4 shade eyeshadow palette and double ended sponge applicator.

On the beauty side of things, again it was difficult to choose just one set but we adore the Elemental Herbology Weekend Facial £30 which contains 3 x 30ml minis of their best selling masks, a muslin cloth and a handy bag to keep it all in. The masks on offer are the Facial Glow Radiance Peel Mask, Facial Detox Purifying Facial Mask and Biodynamic Facial Soufflé Intensive Hydration and Repair Mask (bit of a mouthful!).

Help keep his winter social life in check by splashing out on these MUJI Touchscreen Gloves £12.95. We think these are one of the coolest damn things ever, so simple yet affective. They come in a range of colours and the thumb, index and middle fingers are interwoven with material which allows you to scroll through your phone with ease. They are unisex and come in one size only so they could be a great gift for any family member who can’t keep off their phone!

We hope we’ve inspired you’re christmas buying frenzy!
