With festival season in full swing we’re always on the hunt for a perfect festival outfit! Well, the fabulous guys at Somersby Flavoured Cider have partnered with Lily Allen’s stylist Richard Sloan to provide quirky and original festival outfits ideas for the summer months!
We were asked which celeb festival style we loved and obviously the queens of summer festival dressing sprung willingly to mind! Kate Bosworth, Diane Kruger & Alexa Chung always have seriously cool and on point festival style! With their uber cool headwear, ‘threw this on’ accessories and pro layering they’re our festival style crushes for sure!
Well Richard Sloan and the guys at Somersby Cider did not disappoint! They pitched denim, floaty layering, heavy tassels and blackout eyewear…and we love it!!
To help us on our perfect festival outfit journey, we asked Richard some quick fire questions…!
1. Floppy hat or flower headband?
Floppy hat- keeps the sun off your face.
2. Essential festival fashion item?
Ray bans or a pair of Retro Super Future sunglasses
3. Gladiators or ankle boots?
Doc Martin ankle boots. You run the risk of people treding on your toes in big crowds! A pair of ‘festival edition’ Converse can also be useful when it’s not too muddy
4. Ripped denim or boho lace?
Always ripped denim for a rock and rock edge! Levis and Junya Watanabe have great styles
5. If you could choose one festival in the world which would it be?
Burning Man festival. I have never been and it sounds amazing.
6. Favourite item of clothing?
Worn jeans and a white t shirt. (I know that’s two items!). It’s a classic combination that works for anyone, male or female.
7. If you could style any one in the world who would it be?
Grace Jones- her fearless attitude to clothes is and always will be an inspiration.
8. Camping or glamping?
Camping.
9. Dry shampoo, yes or no?
Yes!! I love the way it makes hair look, goes well with ripped denim for that rock n roll vibe!
10. Who is your festival fashion icon?
Festival icon would be Mick Jagger for wearing that iconic white Mr Fish smock dress he wore to the at the Rolling Stones free concert on July 5th 1969.
