Primark Autumn Winter 2013 Preview
In recent years Primark has been a growing fashion force, gradually becoming a staple stop off for the budget fashionista. Today it has truly made it’s fashion mark on our high streets.
Starting to hit stores in August, the brand new, Autumn/Winter 2013 collections are a shining beacon of budget fashion that will draw us lovingly into the light.
As our British summer starts to look increasingly disappointing we’re all searching manically through our Autumn wardrobes for cross-season pieces that we can wear now and carry through to next season and Primarks Autumn/Winter collections also do just that.
Their six main collections promote a range of very different colours, textures and inspiration, each with their own personality…
The perfect transition from summer to autumn, this collection is lined with elegant neutral, sugary shades, softened by feminine beading and embellishment
Edgy and tough, full of tartan and heavy black which is occasional lifted by streaks of gold. Crackled leather and slick pencil skirts complete this look.
A clean mix of feminine and grunge, with rich fuchsia and bold monochromes. PU trims and graffiti prints add attitude to softer pieces.
Ruled by texture, chunky lines and a moody wash of deep jade and cobalt blue, PU, silk inserts and foil finishes add a cool hint of metallic to this darker more androganous range
Baroque, Paisley and china prints updated for autumn see emerald and deep burgundy shades cover embossed garments. Bold roses, chunky knits and tailored trousers are key.
New York 90’s
A grown up minimal elegance using block colours, simple cuts and contrasting panels. Grey and soft beige in thick wools and feminine tweeds.
With barely a trend uncovered, the AW13 collections promise to inspire our wardrobes. For us the luxe coats and shoes prevailed, a mixture of longline and biker with clever contrasting sleeves and trims, cobalt blue ankle-strap sandals and peep toe boots…we want them all!
So whichever collection suits you best, get down to Primark this autumn, stock up on stunning fashion and work autumn/winter like a pro! And the best part?…everything is less than £35!
