OPSH: the new way to online shop
When is comes to online shopping it’s a little bit like Marmite, you either love it or you hate it. But, thanks to the help of three Dublin-born sisters, Jennie, Sarah and Grace McGinn, who have founded OPSH.com, the whole process is set to become a lot easier!
The idea behind OPSH is to give the control back to shoppers, and let them decide what they see. So instead of sites such as ASOS and Net-A-Porter, who put together an edit of pieces from a range of brands, OPSH allows the user to shop from entire product ranges.
As they themselves do not stock clothes, the concept allows high street brands, such as some of our favourites including Reiss and Urban Outfitters, to sell their latest collections without restrictions.
Essentially OPSH eliminates opening twenty tabs to find that one perfect LBD, and turns online shopping for those who despise it, into a fun activity instead of a chore!
Jennie, founder and chief executive of OPSH.ie explained the shopping process in an interview with The Irish Times: “On a very basic, ‘this is what happens’ kind of level, I would come on to OPSH . . . I’m prompted to input my size, so waist size, bust size, shoe size. And then I’m prompted to select my preferred retailers and products. The idea is that from the very outset, you have the opportunity to start controlling what you see.”
The other two-thirds of OPSH is made up by Jennie’s sisters, Sarah and Grace who are in charge of marketing and head of product respectively. As a whole the sisters have high hopes for the site, their goal in four years is to become “one of the top five shopping destinations for women“.
This goal definitely seems achievable, considering that they have already road-tested OPSH in Ireland to great success. Now they are set to hit the UK with the concept, so keep your eyes peeled and get shopping for your Autumn wardrobe the easy way!
