Katy Perry is the new face of H&M’s Holiday Campaign
There are lots of reasons to love Katy Perry, she was no. 3 on Forbes top-earning celebrities list, she has an abundance of hit records, and now she will be the face of H&M’s holiday campaign.
Katy Perry will follow in the footsteps of other pop stars such as Lady Gaga and Beyonce, who have both been the faces of H&M in previous years. She will feature in both a film and a print campaign for the brand.
In the first images released from the campaign, Katy looks cute in a super cosy Christmas jumper, with a red silk bow in her hair, a very fitting look for the holiday season.
The singer took to her Instagram to unveil the festive news.
“Ladies, Gentlemen & unlabeled-let’s take a petite pause on the beauteous summer we are experiencing & open our calendars tooooo…THE HOLIDAYS I am excited to announce that I will be starring in @hm’s #HappyandMerry Holiday Campaign launching later this year!!! Stay tuned for the whole unwrapping!”
She also spoke of her involvement in the following statement:
“H&M was one of the places where I first began cultivating my personal style… I have continued to love integrating H&M pieces into my wardrobe throughout the years. One of the reasons I love the holidays is being able to dress cozy and cute, which H&M executes so well for every budget. I can’t wait for you to see the world we created.”
Pernilla Wohlfahrt, H&M’s Head of Design, said Katy was the obvious choice for the campaign.
“We are so thrilled that Katy Perry will star in our campaign this holiday season. We love everything about Katy, from her incredible talent and energy to her playful sense of personal style.”
Whilst we will be sad to bid farewell to summer, we cannot wait to see the rest of the campaign later on this year!
