‘Tis the season for a wedding, and the likelihood is you are invited to one or possibly multiple this summer. To save you sifting through all the shops and websites available, we’ve done all the hardwork for you, so sit back and relax… here’s how to dress for a summer wedding.

How to Dress For a Summer Wedding

Florals

We love florals for a summer wedding, and there are so many great dresses in various prints about at the moment. We absolutely adore this rose printed shift dress from Warehouse, the sheer detailing along the hem and shoulders saves it from being too mumsy and gives florals a fresh update and we love the panelling detail on the back of the dress. Next up, this Coast Floral Print dress is a lovely sophisticated option the large flower prints, halterneck style and belt add to a gorgeous smart look for an evening wedding reception. Last up, we cannot get over this adorable pleated dress from Tesco, part of their boutique collection and we can just imagine wearing this beautiful dress at an outdoor wedding whilst sipping on a glass of champagne!

Brights

If you want to stand out at a wedding this summer, nothing says it better than a bright coloured dress (well, you could turn up in a long white dress and a veil but you might be politely asked to leave…) Why not try this ASOS Midi dress to stand out from the crowd, it will definitely ensure you’re noticeable in all wedding photos. We think this would be perfect with a sun-kissed tan (real or fake!). If you fancy getting your pins out, then why not opt for this Oasis coral number, it would look great with a killer pair of heels.

We love the colour of this Warehouse dress and the lace sleeves leave it feeling quite demure, throw on some nude heels and you are good to go. Lastly, this Fearne Cotton for Very dress is a perfect bright dress in two-tones to add a fun addition to a traditional pleated dress.

Pastels

Pastels are very popular this spring/summer and they would look really great at a wedding. We have tried to cover all bases here with a pink, blue and yellow pastel option available. Firstly, this Coast Blanca dress incorporates florals and pastels in this crochet style. It is a simple dress that can be jazzed up with the right clutch and heels. ASOS have a vast range of styles available, and you are bound to find something appropriate on there. We were drawn to this halterneck dress, halternecks styles seem to be making a comeback and we love this dusty pink dress, the draping back detail saves it from being too style safe. Lastly, we had to mention this affordable option from New Look, we think the pastel yellow is to die for and the neck detailing adds something a little but unique onto the standard skater dress style.
