Serpentine Bar and Kitchen

feat-serpentine-kitchen

So, we’re on the verge of having weather worthy of a beach and a pool with scorching days and balmy evenings, a time when eating alfresco is a must. We have found an alfresco oasis right in the heart of London.

“A celebration of rural beauty in an urban landscape”The Serpentine Bar & Kitchen

With uninterrupted views over the Serpentine and an outdoor terrace full of patterned deck chairs and cushions on the grass, the Benugo run Serpentine Bar and Kitchen is the perfect place to kick back for an hour in the sun and lazily watch the world go by.

From wood-fired pizzas that could easily feed two for lunch, juicy 8oz burgers with all trimmings, fresh salads, wild mushroom risotto, sandwiches and fish of the day the menu is varied, seasonal and more than affordable. All options roughly between £7 and £14.

Alongside the savoury offerings are tables filled with a rustic selection of cakes, biscuits, muffins and brownies that will make your sweet tooth twinge with excitment.

It’s a self service set up so just grab a seat, note your table number and order a the bar, and you can spend as little or long as you like here without feeling rushed. From single diners to families taking a break from wandering around Hyde Park, everyone seems relaxed and it’s a great place for an inexpensive, relaxing dinner by the water.

We think Visiting the Serpentine Bar and Kitchen is an absolute must as our British summer time finally shows us the goods.
