A brand new trailer has just landed for the highly anticipated thriller film Nocturnal Animals, and boy does it look good.
From writer/director/genius Tom Ford, comes a haunting romantic thriller of shocking intimacy and gripping tension that explores the thin lines between love, cruelty, revenge and redemption.
As for the plot, well it follows an art gallery owner (Amy Adams) who is haunted by her ex-husband (Jake Gyllenhaal) novel, a violent thriller she interprets as a veiled threat and a creepy revenge tale.
The brand new trailer doesn’t offer up much in terms of what on earth is going on, but it certainly paints a clear picture of how you’re meant to feel when you watch it: very, very anxious. What begins as a quaint and innocent love story on a snowy New York evening quickly turns into a bitter, violent revenge saga.
Nocturnal Animals is based on the 1993 Austin Wright novel “Tony and Susan” and also stars Michael Shannon, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Isla Fisher and Michael Sheen.
This is the second film Tom Ford has directed, and his first since the beautiful “A Single Man” starring Colin Firth seven years ago. We have high hopes for this film as current reviews are giving it 5/5, we just hope we can watch it the whole way through without screaming from anxiety.
