There are many ways to see the best views in London: head for dinner at Searcy’s restaurant on the 39th floor of The Gherkin or take a ride on the London eye. But how would you fancy having breakfast suspended 25 meters in the air in one of London’s most memorable pop-up restaurants? It’s definitely not one for the faint-hearted!

London In The Sky

Events In The Sky have built London’s first 360-degree open-air restaurant, giving you the chance to have an extremely unique dining experience. Open to the public, this event showcases eleven of London’s best restaurants, as they transfer their menus and dining experiences to the unique sky table.

The table seats 22 guests, with a guest chef, sommelier and waiting team serving from the centre. There are three dining flights to choose between: a four course breakfast, a three course lunch with two glasses of hand chosen Villa Maria wines and a four course dinner with two glasses of wine and a glass of Tattinger on arrival.

For those unsure about having a full meal, London In The Sky also offers the Taittinger flight, where guests can enjoy two glasses of Taittinger and a selection of canapés prepared by the chef of the day.

The event kicked off last Thursday with Martin Morales from Ceviche and Andina Restaurants,  Robert Ortiz from Lima and Sophie Mitchell from Pont St offering up some of the most delicious breakfast, lunch and dinner menus.

The three-course lunch flights cost around £200 per head, whilst a four-course dinner is £250. A more affordable option is the breakfast flights at £50, and the Taittinger champagne and canapé afternoon trips for £75.

Dale Agar of Events in the Sky says of the event: “Having enjoyed a successful run on the continent we are very excited to offer Londoners the opportunity to enjoy their fantastic restaurant scene up amongst some of the most iconic skyscrapers. This event is going to be extraordinary”.

We couldn’t agree more! If you would like to get your hands on a unique flight, head to the Events In The Sky website here, but be quick as tickets are selling fast!

London In The Sky will run until 30th October from it’s venue at 99A Upper Ground, South Bank, London, SE1 9PP. There is no minimum age for the flights, although a minimum height of 1.2m applies. Guests are to arrive 30 minutes prior to their flight to get strapped in before the flight takes off!
