We love heading to the cinema with our friends and fam at Christmas, and one film we think we will help us get over our turkey induced comas is The Greatest Showman. Starring Hugh Jackman, the new musical has a touch of Moulin Rouge and Les Mis about it, and it’s out on Boxing Day!

The first full trailer for The Greatest Showman has arrived following a short initial teaser in the summer. Hugh Jackman plays P.T. Barnum, a real-life American politician and showman, who’s most famed for promoting celebrated hoaxes and for founding the pioneering Barnum & Bailey Circus.

In the latest trailer for the original musical, we get to see the initial struggles of P.T. Barnum and the eventual origins of his renowned traveling circus. Not only is he struggling financially to support the venture, he also has to deal with persecution, protests and animal accidents.

For fellow Hugh Jackman fans, the trailer does also showcase the Wolverine-actor’s notoriously sultry singing skills as showcased in Les Misérables. Many of the songs used in The Greatest Showman were written by La La Land moguls Benj Pasek and Justin Paul so we’re expecting some catchy tunes.

The cast is also awesome. Alongside Hugh, we’ve got the always brilliant Michelle Williams, who’ll be playing Barnum’s wife, as well as Disney star Zendaya, Rebecca Ferguson and the rather dishy Zac Efron,

Directed by Michael Gracey, The Greatest Showman is set to open on Boxing Day. Watch the trailer below and let us know what you think in the comments below or over on our Twitter!
