The Grand Budapest Hotel
If you had the power to pull together a cast which was basically a list of golden, Hollywood heavyweight proportions. You would. Cue Director Wes Anderson and The Grand Budapest Hotel. It is THE cast.
Ralph Fiennes, Tilda Swinton, Adrien Brody, Saoirse Ronan, Willem Dafoe, Jeff Goldblum, Jude Law, Harvey Keitel, Bill Murray, Edward Norton, Tom Wilkinson, F Murray Abraham, Mathieu Amalric, Lea Seydoux, Jason Schwartzman, and Owen Wilson.
Set in the 1920s, events at The Grand Budapest Hotel centres around the theft of a priceless Renaissance painting, family rivalries over inheritance and intriguing murder.
From the look of trailer it’s rather obvious that Anderson, the director responsible for the oscar nominated, quirky but brilliant, Moonrise Kingdom (which also featured Murray, Schwartzman, Norton and Swinton) unashamedly displays his style and eccentricities throughout.
It could be considered a risk assembling a ‘dream team’ of actors but with it’s enticing plot and rich, eccentric style we anticipate grand things.
The Grand Budapest Hotel will open the 64th Berlin International Film festival and is set for release in the UK March 7.
