The 2014 BAFTA’S were yet again a glittering affair and as the A-List stepped out on the red carpet for yet another rewards ceremony all eyes were on the dresses.

Our Best Bafta Dresses

These are our fave dresses from the night. The ones that really made us swoon. The ones that, when we close our eyes and imagine we’re wearing them, make us feel like Cinderella that actually went to the ball.

Lupita Nyong’o

The talk of Tinseltown for her moving performance in 12 Years A Slave and the winner of many an award from this season so far, Lupita shone like a beacon of fashion light in jade green Dior Couture and matching Louboutins, taking the crown for us for best dressed of the night. We can’t forget her also taking our best dressed crown at the Golden Globes in gorgeous tomato red, caped Ralph Lauren. If she get’s it right at the Oscars, it will be a clean fashion crown sweep.

Samantha Barks

Simplicity at it’s best. Stunning white Calvin Klein. We really don’t need to say much more apart from she stood out from the crowd for all the right reasons. Less is sometimes the most!

Cate Blanchett

Lets face it, Cate looks incredible in whatever she wears and she is one of the most elegant ladies in Hollywood. This was no exception. Although not particularly exciting (and we weren’t too sure about the strange pendant ‘mess’ she had around her neck) this Alexander McQueen gown with silver floral detail was strong, ultra sophisticated and fitted her like a glove.

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt

Brangelina managed to succeed in pulling off matching outfits on the red carpet which is no mean feat (think Posh and Becks and Justin and Britney in denim). Angelina looked stunning in her un-done bespoke Saint Laurent tux, walking arm-in-arm with an incredibly good-looking Mr Pitt, who just happened to be wearing a very similar get up. Who thinks they didn’t mean to do it and thought “Drat! – oh well” as they walked out of the bedroom?

So after the excitement dies down these are frocks that won it for us! We’d also like to mention our favourite Dames, Judi Dench and Helen Mirren who looked absolutely gorgeous and can do no wrong in our eyes!

Until the next red carpet…
