Thomas Pink: Style and Success

Thomas Pink: An Evening Of Lions Tales With Brian O'Driscoll

Earlier this month, Janes joined Warren Gatland, British and Irish Lions head coach (for their upcoming 2017 tour of New Zealand) in The Pink Lions Rugby Club on Dover Street. This was an evening of wine tasting, talking style and helping to celebrate the much anticipated launch of the Thomas Pink Lions Collection.

Decorated with Pink rugby balls and fans of all ages, shapes and sizes, it was very clear many players and spectators were keen to hear what Mr Gatland had to say. The question on our mind is how will this Kiwi rugby coach be able to tell us anything about style?

The Q & A kicked off with the ‘perfect pairing‘, tentatively, but smartly, linking great wine with great rugby.

Whilst sipping on the Morello Cherry wine, which by the way, was dreamy, our head coach spoke of teams, tackles and tactics, honing in strongly on the elements of success in togetherness.

A uniform for players identifies them as a team, a unit and in terms of rugby, an actual squad! But Warren believes it is actually more important to not just feel that on the pitch, but off it too. Here comes style.

Style is one thing Thomas Pink do very, very well and this sterling brand collaboration will hopefully bring home, to Lions fans around the Kingdom (literally), some splendid and British style. The Lions collection is British to the core and would make any one wearing it feel perfectly patriotic, and positively proud.

As Janes we know that to look good, is to feel good, the way the Lions feel about coming out in their well crafted, beautifully buttoned Thomas Pink stash. (The white shirt actually has the Lions crest on the top button!)

Confidently but without pressure, Mr Gatland concluded that with the team training hard, playing hard and looking right, we have a winning combination.

So just how successful is the looking good, feeling good combo? Does great style really create greater success?
Well we believe so!

So Janes, let’s put Mr Gatland to the test. When selecting your ‘kit’ for the day, don’t forget to style it up (squad style!)

Our Janes team talk is this

We look good, we feel good, we get further! So throw on your fur, paint those lips red, tousle your mane and put on that invisible crown, and in this land of Lions, be a Lioness!
