As the terribly sad news broke of Paul Walker’s untimely death we pay tribute to the handsome star.

On his way back from a charity event in California, as a passenger in a friends Porsche, Paul Walker, 40 died in a tragic car accident as the car lost control. The car hit a lamppost and became engulfed in flames.

He leaves behind his 15 year old daughter, Meadow.

He began acting as a young boy when his model mother took him to auditions for commercials. And, through modelling, went on to a have a glittering Hollywood career. Films including, Into the Blue, Eight Below and the incredibly successful Fast & Furious franchise.

He starred in all but one of the Fast & Furious films, playing undercover agent Brian O’Conner, the first released in 2001 and the sixth in May of this year. He was working on the seventh instalment at the time of his death.

Co-star Vin Diesel said today “Brother I will miss you very much. I am absolutely speechless. Heaven has gained a new Angel. Rest in Peace.”

He also starred in suspense drama, Hours, which is set for release on December 13.

A statement on the actors Facebook page said
“It is with a truly heavy heart that we must confirm that Paul Walker passed away today in a tragic car accident while attending a charity event for his organisation Reach Out Worldwide…We…are stunned and saddened beyond belief by this news.”

Universal Pictures also issued a statement “Paul was truly one of the most beloved and respected members of our studio family for 14 years, and this loss is devastating to us, to everyone involved with the Fast & Furious films, and to countless fans.”

So, we say an incredibly sad goodbye to an actor who still had a lot of life to live.
