Max Irons King of Hearts
We have to admit, we’re strangely attracted to a man in breeches. Throw some armour, brooding eyes and tousled curls into the mix and we’re hooked.
Max Irons, new star of BBC historical drama The White Queen, certainly knows how to work that winning combination.
Looking every bit the royal knight as he strides onto our screens, Max (son of Jeremy Irons) perfectly captures the charismatic, headstrong character of King Edward VI – famed historically for his love-match marriage with Elizabeth Woodville. And if you’re thinking historical dramas aren’t your thing, the whole love-match, can’t-keep-our-hands-off-each-other aspect means he’s regularly topless too. (We’re just saying…)
Max hasn’t traded on either his good looks or famous father – frequently emphasising in interviews that his parents have always expected him to earn his living independently, and putting in study time at London’s Guildhall School of Music and Drama. Since then he has appeared in a number of TV series and Hollywood blockbusters – including 2011’s Red Riding Hood (alongside Amanda Seyfried) and the 2013 movie adaptation of Twilight author Stephanie Meyer’s The Host.
UPDATE: Max Irons is currently being his gorgeous self on the big screen! Check him out in The Riot Club! We did, and now we love him even more!!
