As the seasons change, we’re picking up a few superhero products to help our skin become more autumnal-glow than Fall-flop. The colder weather and central heating confinement can dry out skin, causing redness, and emphasising the loss of any residual tan.

Top 5 Skincare Saviours

But fear not! We have a few star products in our bathroom cupboards for this time of year – perfect for giving your skin some much-needed TLC.

Here are our top five faves for a gentle autumn skincare routine:

Cleanse

Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water £3.33
Micellar water really does live up to its hype! It’s a gentle way to remove make-up (including mascara), and refreshing on your skin. This Garnier one is a secret weapon – a bargain price, and fairly identical to more expensive brands.

Exfoliate

Clarins One-Step Gentle Exfoliating Cleanser £18
Exfoliating twice a week is a great way to give your circulation a boost and buff away dry skin. We love the fresh-smelling, citrusy zing of this Clarins one – rub on with your fingertips, and then wash off with a warm water and a flannel (we know, possibly the sexiest bathroom item ever…!).

Oils

Body Shop Vitamin E Overnight Serum-in-oil £13
Oils and serums are big beauty news – and we can see why! Yes, they’re more expensive, but you only need a few drops, a couple of times a week, so one bottle lasts ages (ours is still going from January!). The Body Shop’s Vitamin E Oil is an overnight treat. It feels like a rich moisturiser, rather than being oily, and your skin feels plump and smooth in the morning. Warm a few drops in your hands, and then apply to face and neck.

Moisturise

Origins Drink-Up Intensive Overnight Mask £23
Apricot and mango are perfectly balanced in this delicious-smelling (but not sickly sweet) Origins Drink-Up Intensive Mask. It’s packed with natural extracts and really makes your skin feel replenished by morning. Treat yourself to this rich overnight mask twice a week for a vitamin-boost as the seasons change.

Lips

No7 Protect & Perfect £9.95
A bit of loving hydration helps keep away chapped lips at this time of year. No 7’s Protect & Perfect cream has lovely vanilla tones and smoothes easily into dry lips, making them silky-soft. Perfect for treating yourself next time Boots do their £5 No7 voucher offer.
