Today is World Fragrance Day! It celebrates all wonderful smelling things in this world, but especially celebrates perfumes.

The sweet scent of spring

Here at Janes we have had a good old chinwag, discussing our favourite smelling perfumes. For the boys reading and wanting some hints for future presents, take note… As for the ladies, we hope you’ll find a bit of new scent inspiration, just in time for the warmer spring months.

World Fragrance Day: our perfect perfumes

Here’s a few of our favourite scents that we’re appreciating on World Fragrance Day.

“I got given two new perfumes for Christmas last year, which have become two of my faves – definitely ones I will be replacing once they run out. The first is by Georgio Armani called Si. It smells so sophisticated I feel really special when I am wearing it. The other is by Jo Malone and is called Peony and Blush Suede. There are loads of Jo Malone to choose from, but this one is quite floral without being overpowering. I also love any of the Hugo Boss perfumes.”

Giorgio Armani, £46

Jo Malone, £42

“I’m currently loving Narciso Rodriguez, Her, for my everyday perfume. The lighter Eau de Toilette is deliciously soft, velvety and musky (in a good way) and lasts all day. It’s the kind of perfume you want people to get a drift of when they’re close to you, but not overwhelming everyone in the office. I also love D&G The One. This is a bold perfume with punchy hits of amber and vanilla – my going ‘out-out’ perfume. I only have to catch a hint of it and I’m instantly reminded of many a good night out.”

Narciso Rodriguez, £35

D&G, £37

“My favourite is Kiehl Nashi’s Blossom and Pink Grapefruit. It’s so fruity and fresh, I love it! In the past I have also been a fan of Gucci’s Guilty.

Kiehl Nashi, £24.50

Gucci, £32.40

“My FAVE is Pure Poison by Dior. It’s dreamy in a really strong, sexy femme fatale way. I also like to wear Ghost’s Deep Night which is soft, elegant but with a hidden kick.”

Dior, £52

Ghost, £17

“I usually pick up one from Zara when I’m doing some shopping there, try them out next time you pop in. I also have a great Ghost one called Eclipse – it’s the perfect summer scent.”

Zara, £7.99

Ghost, £20

That’s some spring scent inspiration for World Fragrance Day.
