Summer Shine – Nail Edit
Are you off on your summer holiday soon? Want to make sure your nails are hotter than the sand? (Seriously, why does that hurt so much?!)
Nail Edit: Hot Summer Shades
Well, fear not, here at Average Janes we have picked our favourite nail shades which will make you the talk of the beach this summer.
Faby Nail Laquer in Shopping in Camden Town, £11.75
This gorgeous coral shade screams summer like no other. It is such a classy colour, which goes well with most outfits, day or night. I also like that it can appear slightly more pink or orange, depending what light you are in.
OPI Nail Polish in Sailing & Nail-ing, £8.95
There is something about this cool blue shade that makes me think of summer. Whether it reminds me of the clear blue sea or simply compliments my Blue Hawaiian cocktail, there’s no denying this is a great shade to rock on your hols.
Essie Nail Laquer in Chillato, £7.99
This is a really gorgeous shade. The soft pistachio hue will go perfectly with your tan as you while away the day reading your favourite book, or exploring the next city on your travels.
CND Shellac in Hot Pop Pink with Chrome Effect, £12.95
If you are a fan of using a gel colour on your nails at home (with the UV lamp, just in case this is new to you), you might like this vibrant hot pink shade to really bring out your inner Barbie. Add a chrome effect powder like I did to get the high mirror shine and really be the envy of the beach!
Nails Inc Paint Can Spray in Mayfair Lane, £10
Yes, you did read that correctly. Nail varnish that sprays out of a can on to your nails. Painting your nails will seriously never be the same. The main thing is that you must apply a base coat (this is what it sticks to) and then spray away all over your nails, fingers, the lot! Rinse away the excess polish from your hands and there you have a perfectly even manicure. There are loads of shades to choose form but we love this pale metallic pink. This. Is. Too. Much.
There you have it, our summer nail edit!
Enjoy your holiday and if you aren’t going anywhere, these shades will still look fantastic right here in the UK.
