Six product Sunday Makeup
You know how it is, you’ve been working all week and having to look somewhat presentable and then Saturday night you have overdone it with the glitter and fake eyelashes. Sundays are the one day of the week you can let your skin breath and keep things a lot more natural.
However, if you are not comfortable with going bare faced completely (raises hand) then we’ve accomplished the best minimal Sunday make-up look for you to try.
First up, for a natural base use the Bourjois 123 Perfect CC Cream for a bit of luminous cover, leave that heavy-duty foundation for Monday-Friday! This CC Cream provides just the right amount of coverage for a relaxed look. It works as a colour corrector with 3 pigments, firstly Apricot to counteract Anti-Fatigue, secondly Green to reduce the appearance of redness and lastly White to work on any dark spots. I love how hydrating this feels and once worked into the skin using your hands has a great barely-there feel to it.
Now you might want to leave it there base-wise but if you’ve had a particularly late night using an under-eye concealer is essential. Lately, The Maybelline Instant Anti-Age Eye Eraser is amazing for its brightening properties. It is unlike anything we’ve tried before, it has a small sponge and you can twist the tube until some product appears and then swipe it all across the under-eye and smooth in using a small concealer brush or your fingers. We really love how this acts to brighten your under-eye with no fuss and it instantly makes such a difference to the skin. One thing to bear in mind is that the sponge seems to be a little drying especially on the under-eye which is notoriously sensitive, so applying an eye cream is worth it when using this concealer.
Base done. To fill in eyebrows the product we always reach for is the Anastasia Brow Wiz in Taupe. It’s amazing!
On a Sunday we usually bypass using any eyeshadows or liners etc and plump straight for some mascara to give that natural look, Maybelline The Falsies Volum Express this gives such amazing length to your lashes due to the great spoon brush but it deposits a fine layer of mascara with no clumps so it’s ideal for an off-duty make up look.
To add a bit of colour to the face, the Sleek Blush in Sahara it gives a really warm tone to the skin and is quite a neutral shade so it will go with many makeup looks. It is also a great dupe for the far pricier Nars Blush in Orgasm which is a firm favourite among beauty lovers, I enjoy using this because it has no shimmer in it unlike the Nars alternative and so works well for an easy and quick look.
Lastly, on the lips is a new product for Maybelline which is their Color Drama Intense Velvet Lip Pencil in the shade Minimalist, firstly could the shade name be more perfect! These pencils are a really quick product to use and give a lovely pigment to the lips. This shade is the perfect nude peach which just screams my lips but better.
I hope you enjoy trying this look for a lazy Sunday, let us know if you have any perfect Sunday make-up @tweetjanes
