November Beauty Edit
Time for the next monthly instalment of our beauty edit, showing you the things we’ve been loving this month. We know you should be thinking about Christmas presents, but you can still buy yourself things too, right?
Here’s our November beauty edit:
Seventeen Easy On The Eye Palette
To be honest, this palette was picked up on a whim after forgetting to pack a makeup bag for a weekend away and needing to make some last minute replacements. Even thinking about that day kicks-off heart palpitations. However, it was a great excuse to try out some new bits. Heading to an engagement party, this palette looked like it had a good range of shades for a soft, natural look. The collection has 8 matte, shimmer & pearl powders, 3 metallic creams and 1 eye primer with dual-ended applicator, mirror and a ‘get the look’ guide.
It is great that it contains an eye primer, meaning that purchasing something separate is not necessary. In addition, the applicator is actually good which is a surprise as usually the palette applicators are unworkable, but this is just perfect for blending, contouring and highlighting the lids. The other thing we love about Seventeen products as a whole is the amazing price tag, this compact palette was only £7.99 which is amazing value for money. It would be amazing as a stocking filler too!
Superfacialist Vitamin C+ Skin Renew Cleansing Oil
Cleansing oils are great for quick makeup removal, including tough eye makeup and lipstick. We particularly enjoy the cleansing oil from Superfacialist by Una Brennan as it leaves the skin feeling cleansed, refreshed and softer to the touch. The combination of multiple oils helps to dissolve make-up and remove impurities that build up over the day. The oil works best when it comes into contact with water and develops into a light milky texture. It is the perfect addition to an evening routine and works well as part of a double cleanse routine.
Philip Kingsley Elasticizer
Feel Unique, £58
This cult classic hair mask is just what locks are craving this time of year. This mask aims to improve the strength of damaged hair and helps reduce breakage. After just one use, you will certainly notice the difference it leaves, it seriously locks in moisture and reduces frizz, making it a lot easier to style and control when battling the elements (rain, wind, snow – November in the UK has had it all). We can see why this is an award-winning hair mask loved by celebrities and beauty bloggers alike. It is a pre-shampoo intensive moisturising treatment that delivers elasticity, bounce and shine to hair. In addition, it provides UV protection to help prolong the life and shine of colour treated hair. We got to try it out and were truly blown away by the results after one use – this is definitely going to be part of our weekly pamper session, on a Sunday of course!
Origins Drink Up Mask
This time of year our skin is screaming out for some moisture. This mask has been a saviour for years and it definitely never disappoints. Origins have some of the best face masks available and this is one of our favourites. If the weather has left your face dry and dehydrated this mask will put that right. Apply a thick layer of this mask and just leave it to sink into the skin. The bottle suggests 10 minutes, but you can leave it longer for some serious smoothness. Your skin will be left feeling smooth, hydrated with a silky texture to the skin. It is a really calming mask, so sensitive skin types could also benefit from a dose of this. Origins also have an intensive version of this mask which can be used overnight to restore vital moisture to the skin whilst you sleep.
