Halloween Makeup Inspiration 2017

pennywise

It’s our favourite time of the year when we can go all out with our make up in the name of Halloween. But if you’re feeling a bit stumped for ideas, have no fear! Just like last year, we’ve handpicked some of our favourite make-up tutorials on YouTube to inspire you to get in the mood!

From horror film villains to everyone’s favourite character in Stranger Things there’s something for every Jane this Halloween:

STRANGER THINGS

With the second series of Stranger Things coming back to Netflix on October 27, expect A LOT of ST inspired Halloween costumes this year. There’s loads of different characters you could recreate, from everyone’s favourite small town sheriff Chief Hopper to Joyce Byer’s Alphabet lights wall. But if you want someone simple to recreate, we suggest you opt for the eggo-loving Eleven. This is also a costume tutorial, so you’re all sorted for Halloween this year! OH and if you need a recap for what happened in the first season of Stranger Things, check out this post.

QUEEN OF THE DEAD

When it comes to Halloween make up tutorials, Roxxsaurus knows what she’s talking about. We love this Queen of the Dead look, it doesn’t seem too tricky to recreate, but it’ll look like you’ve put lots of effort in. She also has another tutorial for a wicked Half Skull look, go check it out here.

IT PENNYWISE CLOWN

If you haven’t seen IT yet, then we suggest you head to the cinema right now to watch it. Based on the 1986 novel of the same name by Stephen King, IT has been a box office smash hit, raking in over $617 million worldwide. Even if you haven’t seen the film, you’ve probably come across pictures of it’s main character Pennywise the clown on the internet. Well, this October we’re sure they’ll be many Pennywise’s at Halloween parties around the world, so make sure you’re one of the best by following this brilliant make up tutorial by Megan McTaggart:

GLAM SKULL

Now for something a little different. If you don’t want to creep people out too much this Halloween, we suggest you try out this glam skull make up. It’s super easy to recreate and wont cost too much to do. So if you’re the type of person who is more into designing their Halloween costume rather than make up, definitely give LustreLux’s tutorial a go!
