Epic Nails for Winter

Epic Nails for Winter

January and February always seem the longest months of the year. With the dark nights and morning frost it can seem like the summer is never going to come again! Don’t worry, even though the weather is rubbish, there are still plenty of ways to get through the winter months, like treating yourself to stylish new colours for your nails.

At Janes we love winter nails and have done our best to pick the hottest shades right now, so you can be more ‘epic nail’ than #epicfail!

Enjoy our fave colours for epic nails

First up…

Essie – Virgin Snow

Whether you are fresh off the ski slopes or at home by a cosy fire, this polish will see you through January and February. We love the colour and think it would look great with an oversized, roll neck knit in cream.

Nail Polish Direct, £8.95

Nails Inc – Hyde Park Court Gel effect

Khaki is everywhere at the moment, so why not on your nails too? This is a great olive shade, which would look awesome with a denim shirt and chunky scarf. Use the Nails Inc top coat as well for a speedy 45 second drying time (and we can say from personal use that it really is 45 seconds!).

Nails Inc, £15

OPI – Lincoln Park After Dark

Take it a bit darker with this polish form OPI. One coat gives you the gorgeous purple in the photo, but two coats takes it darker to almost black. Have a play and see how you’re feeling. Add a bit of gold glitter polish on your ring finger for a special occasion.

Nail Polish Direct, £8.95

Leighton Denny – Honey Trap

Another light shade for the winter months. This is a lovely oatmeal shade with a classic chic vibe which looks really clean and neat. If you have a classy dinner party, this is a must.

LD Boutique, £11

Jessica Nail Polish – Hot Fudge

This gorgeous melted fudge nail colour is so scrummy you could eat it (please don’t actually eat it!). We would pair it with a pastel pink blouse and gold accessories. There is something about brown and pale pink that goes really nicely. The shimmery flecks in it make it wearable in the evening too.

Truly Scrumptious Beauty, £10.50

That’s our top picks on this first-of-many gorgeous nails edits for 2016.
